District 12 is comprised of 3 counties: Kawartha Lakes, Peterborough, and Northumberland.
We are part of the Central Region.
Regional Games schedule has been firmed up and online registration is open.
Anyone living in the following districts may participate:
D4-Parry Sound, D11-Haliburton/Muskoka; D12-Kawartha Lakes /
Peterborough / Northumberland; D13-Durham; D14-York;
and D28-Simcoe.
Seven events are planned:
5-Pin Bowling - Sun. Sept. 8 - Cobourg
Disc Golf - Wed. Sept. 25 - Port Hope - CANCELLED
Golf-18 H - Tues Sept. 10 - Oshawa
Pickleball (3.0 Mixed Only) - Tues. Oct. 15 - Minden
Swimming - Fri. Sept. 20 - Port Hope - CANCELLED
Tennis - Sat. Sept. 7 - Port Hope - CANCELLED
Walk / Run - Thurs. Oct. 3 - Haliburton - CANCELLED

We are very proud to say that 54 people represented our district
this summer at the Canada 55+ Games in Quebec City - August 27-30.
These people excelled at the district level and then achieved further
distinction at the Provincial Games in Peterborough, Brantford,
and Orillia.
Winnipeg will host the next 55+ Canada Games in 2026.
An announcement is expected very soon about the host for
Provincial Summer Games in 2025.

Brief History of District 12
In 1986, the official OSGA District12 was formed and currently is one of over 30 Districts throughout Ontario under the direction of the Ontario Senior Games Association (OSGA 55+ Games).
At that time, each of the counties chose to operate separately, holding their own games. Winners of each county would compete once again to represent District12 in the Ontario Games. Around 2012, Kawartha Lakes and Peterborough ceased to operate independently and gave the reigns over to Northumberland, which has continued to thrive. From that time forward, only one committee represents all three counties.
